Now I'm going to teach you something very special today and this will surprise you but there are those who are even in church that have lost their souls.

We usually read this scriptures especially this in Mark chapter 8 and we think it's talking about those who are in the world but Jesus was never speaking to those who are in the world. He was speaking to those who are in the church.

I want you to pay attention because it will reveal whether you have already lost your soul, if you're losing your soul, and how to recover yourself in the sight of God. Because this word is an invitation for you to march back into the arms of Jesus that are wide open for you.

Amen. Now listen to the word of God and what it says.

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, "Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Now this is one of the most misunderstood sayings. of the Lord Jesus.

Two of them. Number one is to deny yourself.

Number two is to pick up your cross.

Whenever you read scripture, you must learn scripture in context. And what does it mean to learn it in context or to read it in context? You have to understand when the Lord said that word and if it was abregated by what he did.

Do you know what abrogation means? It means to erase something or to summarize something by one result. That's my own definition. But it's to really erase something because something better has been provided. Let me give you an example. When we came before God, we needed goats, bulls, cows. But when Jesus came, we no longer give bulls, cows, chickens,

or birds because the blood of Jesus is sufficient that we no longer need those things. But there was a time that those things were important. Burnt offerings were important. But when Jesus came, he was not burnt, but he was crucified. And the shedding of his blood abregated all other offerings that anyone could ever give before God. That is why the Bible says we are not redeemed by the blood of bulls.

Does that make sense now?

Yes.

So if somebody took a cow

and offered a burnt offering to God, it's not witchcraft. It's foolish.

It's not witchcraft because the blood of the bull will not satisfy God. He doesn't want it.

He wants what Jesus provided. And Jesus already did it. All you have to do is receive it. So you'll be wasting barbecue. You'll be wasting, you know, some burgers and some ribs or something because God no longer needs it. I mean it would be better for people to eat it

than for you to offer it to God who doesn't want it.

It's not necessary.

It is not needed because God has received all he ever needed for our sanctification through Jesus. Now if you are a farmer and you go to a church but you don't have money to give and you give a cow to the church nothing wrong with that will slaughter it and give it to people to eat because you are still serving the purpose of God but God will appreciate it

because you are helping the house of God but not because he's receiving the blood of the bull. Do you understand?

Yes.

The reason why I'm using this is to show you that it is about where you are mentally.
