In one line: Did Jesus ever leave the wilderness? In his reading, no — "the devil taketh him" (Greek paralambanō, "to join to oneself") means Satan drew Him into his own realm of thought, showing all kingdoms "in a moment of time" (Luke 4:5).

Jesus said unto him, "It is written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Again, the devil So Satan Jesus understood Satan was slandering God.

He tried to say God is evil that he can forsake you. God is not true to what he has spoken. God will not hold on to what he has said. He was trying to slander God.

Jesus said, "I won't tempt my father because he's not evil." I'm convicted.

Most people read this and they say that Satan wanted they want he wanted to see if Jesus will be obedient to his words. No, you missed the point. Jesus will never obey Satan. The point was not to make Jesus obey because if Jesus would try to prove God to Satan, it means Jesus is not convicted. Why would the son of God try to convince Satan of who God is? Yet Satan already has rejected everything that God is.

So, it's a fool's errand. Yeah. Keep going again. The devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down, and worship me. Mhm. Then saith Jesus unto him, "Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

I want you to go to Luke chapter 4.

Now the question is, did Jesus leave the wilderness or not? M because it says the devil taketh him. So did the devil transport him or not?

Because the Bible is telling us Jesus is in the wilderness. Yes. And then when we are reading is we are being told that he's taken. Uh-uh. He's at the temple. He's at the mountain. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Did this happen or what happened? I'm going to teach you a spiritual principle that will change your whole thinking. Amen. See Start from verse one. Luke 4 verse one.

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan and was led by the spirit into the wilderness being 40 days tempted of the devil. And in those 40 days he did eat nothing. Let's stop before before we continue. The word taketh You see the word take it there. Write this word para lambano which is written p a r a l a m b a n o paralo which means to take to to take with oneself to join to oneself.

Now go back to Luke. Luke from verse one. Now I want you to pay attention. This is Luke 4. And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being 40 days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing. And when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God, and the devil taking him up into a high mountain. Now remember, to take means to join with oneself. Y paralo.
Now I want you to pay attention. And the devil did what? And the devil taking him up into a high mountain showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Wait. So what happened was an an instant.

So if your mind goes somewhere, the devil took you.

applause

If God also sends your mind to a positive place, it means you have also been taken by God. If you entertain evil thoughts, the word taketh, the one take, the word taketh means to join yourself too.

So the devil taketh him to a high point.

He took Jesus to a high point and in an instant showed him everything that the world has to offer. Now I have a question for you. The highest point on land is Mount Everest. I promise you if you go on Mount Everest, you're not going to see the whole world.

So if if you go on Mount Everest right now, which is the highest point, which is the highest point on earth, if you are not going to see all the kingdoms of the world, who is the ruler of this world? Satan. The Bible tells you he is the God of this world.

He taketh him to a high point and shows him all the kingdoms of the world in an instant.

In an instant and asked Jesus to worship him. Please read it again one more time. And the devil taking him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, "All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them, for that is delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will give it. If thou therefore me, all shall be thine."

Notice this. Because the devil controls this world, he taketh him into himself and joins himself and showed him what he controls. So the high point wasn't a physical point because there's no high point on earth. He says he took him to the highest point on the highest point on a mountain. There's no mountain that shows you the whole all the kingdoms of the world. and you won't see all the kingdoms of the world in an instant.

When you entertain evil thoughts, you're spending time with the devil. 2 Corinthians 10:5, this water is sweet.

Corinthians, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exaltth itself against the knowledge of God. Some of you have entertained evil thoughts for so long that Satan has convinced you because he took you to his world. He convinced you about people, about your own life. By the time you came back, you hate people.

You hate your own future. You turn on people. You just spend time with the devil. But you are thinking that they were just thoughts. They were not just thoughts. You spent time with somebody.

You were literally taken somewhere. Because according to the Bible, Jesus never left the wilderness.

So even when it speaks about him going on the temple, you realize that he actually didn't go there. Why? Because when it's finished, when he rebuked Satan and Satan leaves, the Bible says, "Then angel came and ministered to him and Jesus left the wilderness in the power of the Holy Spirit." Amen. Meaning everything happened where? In the wilderness.

Stop playing with your thoughts.

Some of you are spending time with the enemy and you don't even know it.

are prepping your ears, are prepping your mind. They're prepping your soul to be taken by the devil to spend time The empo.
