And he could there do no mighty works.

Now, Jesus had a level. To him, healing people, delivering people was obvious. Because healing is the children's bread. Deliverance is obvious. But Jesus did not just come to deliver you or to heal you. He wanted to perform miracles, mighty works that you sit down, you pluck out all your hair, wondering, "Who is this man that leaves you with one conclusion, that this is God in the flesh."

So now, watch this. He says, "And he could do no mighty works, save that he laid his hand upon a few sick folk." Jesus, who could tell you, "Just be healed." He had to lay hands.

"And healed them." Verse 6. "And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went round about village villages teaching." Now, what stopped Jesus has been misunderstood for a long time.

Because what stopped Jesus is what is stopping you.

Uh you're about to learn something right now.

[cheering and applause]

I know some people are like, "Hmm, what do you mean? What are you saying?" What stopped the Lord Jesus is what is stopping you.

Because we know Jesus can heal you without needing your faith. So, their unbelief should have never stopped him. Because this is the only time we are facing a force that can stop God. That he can only do small works, not mighty works.

So, there's an issue here. So, we know faith is not the problem. Because Jesus can heal you without having faith. Jesus can deliver you without having faith. Jesus doesn't need anything from anybody, but in this place Jesus he doesn't say he had no power. He says he couldn't, meaning he tried and it didn't work.

He tried, but he couldn't work. He tried, but he couldn't work.

Your prayer is not working not because you don't have faith, but there is something that you have wrong that God has to change tonight.

[cheering and applause]

You are about to see some mighty works in your life after tonight.

How is Jesus not able to do any mighty works? How?

He has the spirit without measure. He is God. He can do whatever he wants at any time. But Jesus can do nothing.

He can do nothing. He could not, meaning he tried and he couldn't. Something bound him.

And the Bible says Jesus marveled at their unbelief. Not at their lack of faith. Unbelief. But what was their unbelief?

Because when you read you realize that they know he can do great works. When you read in the beginning, it's telling you what kind of wisdom does he have. So they recognize he has the ability to do crazy works. They're not doubting that. So their unbelief wasn't in his power.

That wasn't the issue.

I know everybody's wondering, "Okay, what's the problem?"

You see I'm reading your mind now.

[cheering]

What What What What What is What is the issue? Because they believe in his power. You believe in God's power. Okay, let's just do an experiment. How many people believe in God's power? If you came to Revelation Church, you be it's because you believe in God's power. That's all we do here.

[cheering]

Every service, every day, we have an encounter with God's power. Amen. So that's not that's not the issue here. We have an encounter with God's power. That's
