Summary
In one line: A veteran, Darwin Edward, testifies: five months ago the prophet stopped in the prayer line and told him, "If you don't quit what you're doing, you're going to die — you don't have long" — now he's five months clean.
Key moments
- He had told his daughters "don't tell the prophet what I do" — selling and using drugs. The prophet also named something from his youth that "followed him": "God says He's forgotten it — stop asking forgiveness."
- He'd been kicked out of six programmes and graduated from two but couldn't stop — "I was scared." His Bluetooth would turn on by itself to the prophet's preaching. God told him: "Get your mouth off the prophet and your eyes on the prize… the covenant I made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I made with you before the womb — don't break it" (cf. Hebrews 6:13-18).
- The sign: while smoking, the whole pipe lit up red without burning his lips and shattered into pieces — "you won't touch this anymore." He told his old associates: "I'm out of the game."
- "I don't have to ask anybody for anything." God promised to restore him "like when I was 17." Lovy: "When God takes you through a process, you know what it's like to be pulled out of the grave… may God save your children, by any means necessary."

What happened?
Where you at?
Huh? Look up there.
Oh, how you doing, private?
How are you doing, sir?
I'm doing great.
Uh-huh. Talk to me.
5 months ago. [snorts] We I was in the prayer line and and uh you was all the way down there and uh you stopped and looked down and walked up to me and said, "God heard everything you just said." And I told I had I had told him I said, "Don't tell the prophet what I do.
Don't I'm not lying. I'm not I ain't got time to be playing up here lying. And uh I'm very serious. And u you stood there and looked at me and I said uh I told him don't tell you where I go, what I do, who you know. Woo woo woo. And uh he said uh and you said uh how you going to tell the father that? I said cuz he know me. He said, "Well, I'mma tell you what he told me to tell you." You said, "If you don't quit what you doing," he said, "You're going to die." Right.
So, um, I said, "He got his nerve telling me that." And you said, "You don't have long." But my daughters didn't understand what you was saying. And and you said uh you told me you said from when you was young and what happened. He said it followed you all the way to now.
He said you don't have to ask him to forgive you no more. He forgot about it. But he said it bothered you to where I would take off on certain people like drop the dime.
Five months went by and you kept coming to my face.
I said, "You ain't got long, you know." And so one night I told the Lord, I said, "Look, go to this house and tell him to leave me alone."
Right? He said, "But I called you." He said, "Uh," I said, "Well, I want to stop what I was doing." You said to me, I'm not going to sugarcoat this because I want this to help other vet men and other vet women and their children coming behind them. I'm not ashamed of what I've done. But, you know, I mean, I was selling, getting high, you know, I was doing my thing. I was flowing. I thought I was.
And
uh I said, "Well, Lord, how how are you going to heal me? Cuz I can't stop." I tried to stop. Got kicked out of six programs. Graduated from two. I know how to dry, stay dry. But I didn't I couldn't I look, I was scared.
Straight out scared. And he and he didn't say nothing. I was watching you on TV preaching. You understand me?
Turn the stereo down. I mean the Bluetooth down. It would come on by itself. You understand me? And it just was spooky, you know? So, cuz he knew how to deal with you.
But what got me was prophet. He said, "Hey, look, let look. Get your mouth off the prophet and get your eyes on the prize and stay there.

You can't make it without a prophet. You can't." Woo! Lord Jesus, I can scream, man. Hold it.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, [cheering] wait, boy. So he said, I said, "Well, look, I'll make a promise to you." He said, "Don't make no promise you can't keep with me." He said, "Hey," he spoke to me like daylight. He said, he said, "The agreement I made with Isaac, Abraham, and Jacob," he said, "I made with you before the earth before he for, you know, put you in your mother's womb." I said, "Okay." He said, "But don't break it." He said, "Cuz I didn't break it with you." And uh he promised me that.
He said, "You got my co. If you don't understand what the comfort is, go home this afternoon and sit down and read it word for word. He he he said, "I made a promise." When he didn't have nobody else to swear with him about his word, you understand? He said, "I put fire in you." And he said, "That fire went out."
He said, "You was getting high. I wasn't getting high with you. Me and the devil don't hang out the same place.
So I'm I don't feel nothing. I don't care what anybody think about me. I care about what my father thinks about me.
I love him and I promised him and he kept his promise on the deliverance part of the testimony.
I showed the I was telling the lady that I was talking to you could talk to her. Yeah. No, this is for real now. This is for real. This is this is the impact like before the smoke go down your throat through your body from your brain and go into your lungs and then through your whole body in in two two seconds that fast.
When he said when God told him to tell me what he had to tell me, that's what scared me. But it didn't scare me enough to stop.
But I asked him, I said, "Do you deliver me?"
Oh, Jesus, you teach me. He said, "Will you say what I tell you to say when I tell you to say it and how to say it?" I told him, "Yeah, don't if you don't want to know, don't ask me. You don't want to know what this word mean? He ain't playing. This word is alive. It's fire.
And um there's a preacher down in Atlanta that kind of monkeys when he say fire. But I didn't understand why you fire, you shout fire.
One night I was getting high and the whole stem could I mean I was driving. I I mean I could get to places and you sleep and the whole thing lit up red and I didn't burn my lips or nothing. I said, "What is it?" And it broke up into thousands of pieces. He said, "You ain't going to touch this no more."
