So, what does it mean to be a lukewarm Christian? You pretend, live a double life, you portray yourself to be one way, but you're really another way. You speak this way to others and to others you speak differently. That's called being lukewarm. So, what does a cold person look like? A cold person, remember all Christians wants to want to be on fire for God. So, we don't want to be lukewarm, we want to be hot.
But God is saying I'd rather you are cold. I don't want you to be lukewarm. Charismatic people have this idea that if you go to a church, they love Jesus, but it's too calm. It's too chill. God is not in that place. There was no fire. They are cold, God is still with them. God is only spitting out who? The lukewarm. Not the cold, not the hot. So, you imagine how many people have defiled themselves by speaking negative about people who maybe they their church they don't believe in speaking in tongues, but they love Jesus desperately. They don't understand the tongues things, but they love the Lord Jesus. They love him.
They follow his precepts. They don't understand visions. They don't understand healing. They don't know any of these things. All they know is we love the Lord Jesus and we want to live for Jesus. We want to evangelize and tell people about Jesus. Somebody who is used to comes to their church and looks at them, they're like, "Ah." They'll be like, "Yeah, that church is just cold. God is not there." No, you lie to yourself. That's not true. God hates the lukewarm because a lukewarm person is a pretender. God would rather you are extremes because he knows exactly where you stand and there's a cure for you.
